The cottage
has been very recently refurbished and features an open-plan
kitchen, dining room and sitting room with a real fire, two double
bedrooms and a bathroom with bath, shower and washing machine. The
cottage runs off gas central heating. The kitchen includes a
full-size fridge freezer, microwave, double oven and iron. The
dining area comfortably seats six. The sitting area has two sofas
(one of which is a double sofa bed) and a flat screen TV and DVD
player. You will find a library of DVDs, books and games for you to
enjoy during your stay.
There is an enclosed and partially covered courtyard with garden
furniture and a BBQ (plenty of room to seat 10-12 people for a BBQ!)
and there is off-road parking at the back of the cottage for one
car. Next to the property, just off the road is a lay-by, where
there is always plenty of free parking available.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of
drawers, mirror and hairdryer.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, wardrobe, shelf and mirror. Both
bedrooms and the sofa bed are equipped with duvets, pillows and bed
linen, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. Towels are
available on request, at an additional £15 for the week.
Children are welcome and catered for – we have a travel cot and
high chair, and as the cottage is single story there are no stairs
to consider! The outside area is decked and fenced with access from
the front and back via two gates, both of which have bolts at the
top to keep small children safely inside.
Pets: Dogs are allowed by prior arrangement – there is a £10
charge. We would be grateful if dogs were kept out of the bedrooms
at all times.
The property is non smoking.
The Boat House can sleep up to 7 + 1 baby:
There are 2 double beds, a double sofa bed and a single mattress
(stored under one of the beds) and a travel cot. There are sheets
available for the single mattress, but if you want to use this you
will need to bring your own quilt / sleeping bag.
The cottage is perfectly located with local pubs and shopping on
Staithe Street just a few minutes’ walk away.
